Architectural and artistic lighting was carried out within the framework of the project for the improvement and renovation of the most important objects of Krasnokamensk, for the city day and the anniversary of Rosatom – 75 years.

City Administration Building

The architectural illumination of the administrative building emphasizes it's strict forms and emphasizes the decorative facades, where the brick-finished areas are illuminated with a warm white 3000K light, thereby emphasizing the red texture of the brick, and the white plastered walls with a colder shade of 4000K.

“Dauria” House of Culture

The building of the Dauria House of Culture was built in the spirit of Soviet modernism and combines brutal large volumes with smooth shapes of individual architectural elements.

The architectural illumination of the building should attract attention as one of the main dominants of the city. The vast, blank, smooth facades of the building are illuminated according to the principle of floodlighting by powerful color dynamic spotlights. Thus, the entire array of the building is revealed, which is well perceived from a great distance. The lighting control system allows you to create an unlimited number of color shades and gradients on the facade.

To complete the overall lighting composition and emphasize the identity of the city, gobo projections related to the theme of the atom and its history are projected onto the facade.

Stele "Sculpture of the Atom"

The entrance stele of Krasnokamensk is the name of the city enclosed in a horizontal frame, made in large red letters, and above it is a model of an atom with shiny steel balls of electrons strung on rings depicting orbits.

Powerful spotlights with colored radiation – red and blue - are used to illuminate the atom model. Colored spotlights placed in a circle aim each at its own electron and create bright colored glare on their surfaces. When the more opaque material of the orbits is illuminated, the radiation of different colors mixes, creating an amazing effect of the play of colors, transporting the viewer somewhere in the distant cosmic, scientific and inexplicable.

All searchlights are placed on the ground in special protective casings, which are both anti-vandal and contribute to limiting glare.

Monument to the steam locomotive

The steam locomotive, delivered in 1945 by the Americans under lend lease, was initially operated in the frontline zone, then used as a boiler room and, eventually, was installed in the Miners' Square as a monument.

LED floodlights mounted on existing decorative supports are used to illuminate the locomotive. Small-sized floodlights with red light are installed between the wheels of the locomotive, so that the monument attracts more attention, and the red glow creates a dramatic effect, referring the viewer to the history of the locomotive. And a powerful white-glow spotlight with a concentrated narrow light distribution is installed in the head lamp of the locomotive, forming a visible beam of light and creating the feeling of a moving locomotive.

All the lights installed on the locomotive operate at a voltage of 24 V and are installed in protective covers, as they can be accessible to children playing.
